| Dr Lothar Zieger MD
is Medical Director of the Scottish Klinghardt Institute of
Applied Neurobiology, as well as a practising GP and systemic
psychotherapist. He graduated from the Medical University of
Lübeck in Germany in 1995, where he also attained an MD in Social
Medicine for his thesis on eating disorders. Early on in his
career he developed an interest in the dynamics of relationships
and the link between emotional distress and illness. This led
him to study psychosomatics: the area of medicine that deals
with psychological causes of physical disease. Subsequently
he has acquired a broad range of experience in hospital and
general practice work and has completed postgraduate training
and diploma courses in emergency medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology,
psychotherapy, family planning & reproductive healthcare, and
obstetrics & gynaecology. |

| Dr Zieger has spent many years exploring
cutting-edge integrated medicine in Germany, Britain and the
USA. He has a particular interest in Energy Medicine and since
2001 has studied extensively under Dr Dietrich Klinghardt MD.
In 2004 he was instructed to establish the Scottish Klinghardt
Institute of Applied Neurobiology; his remit being to widen
the base of health practitioners using the techniques and protocols
throughout the British Isles. It is Dr Zieger's intention to
provide a complete curriculum of courses to take practitioners
from an introductory level right through to a full Diploma in
Integrated and Sustainable Healthcare. He is currently the only
licensed teacher of Dr Klinghardt's methods in this country. |

| Lothar Zieger's personal experience
of poor health and chronic illness throughout childhood left
him knowing that conventional medicine did not have the answers.
He grew up in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and trained as a paramedic
during his first years at medical school. Later, whilst working
in one of Germany's famous Psychosomatic Hospitals, he was introduced
to Systemic Psychotherapy as originated by Bert Hellinger and
completed his own training in family constellation therapy.
This method eventually guided him to the comprehensive Klinghardt
system of holistic healing that he now practises with his private
patients. |

| Dr Zieger's philosophy is that all
disease can be treated by enhancing the body's capacity to heal
itself. He believes that by addressing imbalances and blockages
on five intrinsically linked levels of being, the body's innate
healing powers can be fully activated. His aim is to equip the
body to effect a cure, and prepare it to sustain a state of
wellness in the future. This is achieved in a truly holistic
fashion by addressing seven common factors that prevent healing
on a physical, energetic, mental and intuitive level. It involves
identifying and treating toxic burden and micro-organism infection,
ensuring essential raw materials are supplied and can be utilised,
and dealing with unresolved emotional issues. |
| |
| Most of Dr Zieger's patients consult
him because they have been unable to find relief for chronic
physical or psychological illness through conventional channels,
despite having seen specialists here and abroad. He finds it
is common for these patients to have issues with mercury toxicity
or Lyme Disease and its co-infections. They present with a wide
variety of distressing or disabling symptoms that they may have
experienced for years or even decades. These can include anxiety,
depression, chronic fatigue, pain, low immunity, allergies,
respiratory problems, cardiovascular illness, infertility, poor
mental functioning, and gastrointestinal disturbances. He is
also seeing patients suffering from Autism, Alzheimer's, and
Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and cancer. |
| |
| Dr Zieger operates his integrated
medicine clinic, The SKIAN Clinic, in Forres, situated close
to beautiful Findhorn Bay in northeast Scotland. In addition,
he maintains his skills in General Practice and emergency care
by continuing to take on out-of-hours work for the NHS in remote
areas of the Scottish Highlands. He finds this very rewarding;
enjoying the challenge and responsibility of at times being
two-hours' drive from the nearest hospital, as well as relishing
the beautiful mountain scenery and the friendly and welcoming
attitude of the local people. |
| |
| He has lived in the UK since 1995
and his great pleasure is spending time with his two young children
as they grow up in this beautiful part of north-east Scotland
with its clean air, castles, dolphins, seals, and the celebrated
northern lights. In his quest he likes to travel worldwide to
keep abreast of the latest developments in integrated healthcare,
energy medicine and environmental concerns. |
